sample platter
Using monoprinting techniques, create a serving platter with leaf and flower designs.
Here is a description of the process: Glaze is applied to strips of newsprint and leather-hard clay. Next, leaves and flowers are pressed into the clay in a collage-like manner. The prepared newsprint is then transferred to the clay surface by rolling, which creates a “print” of the glaze. Then continue in this manner overlapping plants and glaze until the design is completed. The clay is then placed into a mold to form it into a platter. The result is a beautiful collage of color and shape!
